Based on careful research and long-term planning, Dr. Zaporozhets and Dr. Syvak made the decision to establish a modern rehabilitation center dedicated to the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing of Ukrainian active-duty military personnel, veterans, and civilians.

UIT will focus on ensuring that:

• active-duty service members receive rehabilitation and can return to service

• veterans receive the support they need to transition successfully into civilian life

• military families and civilians receive care to recover from war-related trauma
   

Our multidisciplinary team will include:

• psychiatrists

• psychologists

• neurologists

• addiction specialists

• nurses

• chaplains

Over the past two years, we have provided nearly 25,000 clinical hours of care, but this represents only a small portion of the need.

According to Ukrainian government and UN estimates, the number of veterans may reach 3 million people, and tens of thousands of civilians require physical and mental health services.

The need for a permanent UIT rehabilitation complex is urgent.

In 2024 we:

• purchased 15 acres (6 hectares) of land south of Kyiv

• developed architectural and engineering plans

• created 2D and 3D renderings

• completed site preparation work
   

As of August 2025, the Pre-Build Phase is approximately 95% complete.
